Gilson M. Kanashiro
I have over 20 years of experience in education, research, and administration in public and private organizations. I am dedicated to advancing knowledge through innovative research and teaching. My areas of expertise are mainly Digital Signal Processing and Advanced Algorithms for Medical Ultrasound Systems.
About Me
I am a dedicated professor at the Federal Institute of Paraná (IFPR), where I have been teaching since 2018. My experience spans teenage and adult students, fostering a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.
Before my academic career, I proudly served as an officer in the Brazilian Army. I graduated from the distinguished 2004 class with a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering at Instituto Militar de Engenharia (IME).
In addition to my military and teaching experience, I have an extensive background in the corporate world. I have worked as a project engineer, an executive administrator, and a business owner. These diverse roles have equipped me with a broad skill set and a deep understanding of various professional landscapes.
I am a researcher at LUS/UTFPR, pursuing a doctorate focusing on Medical Ultrasound Systems. My research involves advanced digital signal processing and requires a solid understanding of human physiology. This work is at the intersection of technology and medicine, aiming to contribute to medical diagnostics and treatment advancements.
